Where are you based?
We are based in Shepton Mallet in Somerset. You can find us at Unit 3 on the Centurion Business Park, Fosse Lane, Shepton Mallet, BA4 4PW. Click here for a location map.
What are your opening hours?
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 9:30am – 5pm
Wednesday: 9:30am – 5pm
Thursday: 9:30am – 5pm
Friday: 9:30am – 5pm
Saturday: 9:30am – 5pm
Sunday: 10am – 4pm
Please note that our fish room closes 30 minutes before the shop closes for feeding and maintenance i.e 4:30pm on Tues-Sat, 3:30pm on Sun. Drygoods, plants, and foods that are kept in the fish room will still be available for sale after this time, but just not livestock.
Do you have a licence to sell exotic pets?
Yes, we are fully licensed with Mendip District Council. All retailers must have a licence to sell any vertebrates from a shop or online. Our licence reference number: LN/009408489.
Do you sell animals online?
We do not sell vertebrate live animals through our website, but you can view our livestock here. We have animals available in the store, please contact us or pop in to our shop to view and reserve an animal.
Invertebrate livestock is available for purchase through the website, dispatch is dependent on condition of the animal (for example, it will not be shipped if showing signs that it’s close to a moult) and day/night temperatures both in the location of the shop and the customer’s property.
Do you sell vivariums?
Yes, we have a wide variety of vivariums, tanks and terrariums. Along with all the other kit, equipment and supplies you need to house, feed and care for your reptile.
Do you do gift vouchers?
Yes, we offer gift vouchers. You can buy one in store, and we’re presently working on offering them online.
Do you sell pre-owned kit?
We do occasionally have pre-owned (second-hand) kit for sale like vivariums and tanks. Contact us to discuss what you’re looking for.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major payment methods in our shop and online, and our shop also accepts cash. You are able to spread your payments.
Can you deliver a reptile to me?
Yes, we can deliver a reptile or animal safely to you via courier. Please see our T&Cs for more details.
What are your delivery charges?
We offer free next day delivery on orders over £60. Frozen food and orders including glass terrariums or vivariums with glass doors will always have a delivery charge. Standard delivery is £10.00, heavy orders may be subject to a pallet charge up to £61.62.
Do you deliver internationally?
I’m afraid we currently only ship within the mainland United Kingdom, we unfortunately cannot offer delivery to the Highlands or off shores.
How long does delivery take?
Orders placed before 12 noon on Tuesday to Friday are dispatched the same day.
Will you look after my animal when I go on holiday?
Yes, you can board your reptiles at Repxotics whilst you are away. More information can be found here
Can you rehome my reptile?
Yes, we can take in your reptile and re-home it, subject to acceptance.
Do you take rescues?
Yes, we can take in rescue reptiles and re-home them, subject to acceptance.
How do I care for my pet?
We have several care sheets on our website here that we write ourselves and keep up to date with latest research for you to refer to. These provide lots of information about the enclosure we would recommend, heating and lighting, diet and supplements and breeding for each species.
What if I am not satisfied with my purchase?
Please contact us straight away. We offer a no quibble returns policy if you are not totally satisfied within 14 days.
Do you take on volunteers and work experience?
Unfortunately at this point in time we are not taking on work experience or volunteers, however please reach out to us if you’re interested as we may have availability come up in the future.
Would you buy my preowned kit, like a vivarium?
Maybe, please get in touch with us regarding what you have, the condition, relevant dimensions etc and include some photos. Then we’ll go from there.
Would you buy my reptile(s) from me?
Possibly, the best thing to do is get in touch, pop in, or send us pictures and the essential details about your reptile and we’ll go from there.
Do you give refunds on animals?
Yes, providing you’ve recently purchased the reptile from us, and subject to an assessment of the animal’s condition, and all the clauses in the animal sales sheet signed upon purchase are met.
